The original photograph was taken around the 1860's and had been torn into several pieces, some which were lost. A 300 dpi color scan was made of the remaining pieces. The photo was restored using 30 years of art and photography experience to recreate the missing facial features, clothing and other areas. Restored genealogical photographs are important to the history of your family for future generations. It is always sad to go through antique stores and see really old photographs for sale of bygone family members. Realizing their heirs will never get to see them and will maybe wonder what their great, great grandmother looked like.
